In April, Deker received an award at school. He was so excited and proud.
We were out side playing and Deker decided to take Zora in a ride in the wagon.

On April 28, Deker came home from school feeling just fine. He ate a great lunch and started playing outside. After an hour or so, he came in telling me his tummy was hurting. I did the usually, do you need to go to the bathroom? Have a drink of water? Take a break? After a little bit he went back to playing. He would come in once in a while.
I started making dinner and Deker came in and sat down on the couch. When it was time for dinner, he didn't want to eat and I told him that was fine. As the rest of us were eating he started screaming out in pain. When it wasn't subsiding, we decided to take him to the ER. All of us, even the doctor was concerned about it being his appendix. They started an IV, took blood for tests, did and X-ray and an ultrasound. When the bag of IV was about 1/2 done, he started talking. By the time the IV bag was gone he was acting just fine. Come to find out it was just a lot of impacted stool. He really did give us a scare though. I am so happy that it wasn't his appendix.
