Helping with the Laundry?

This evening Andrew and I sat down to fold Laundry. Usually when we fold laundry, Keagan would pick them out of the basket as fast as he could and then once all the clothes were out, he would get in the basket. Well, tonight, he decided that he was going to fold the laundry. It was a lot of fun watching him take something out of the basket, put it on the table and say "I roll it" as he rolled it up. He would then put it to the side. It sure was fun watching him. Here is a video that we took of it.

Busy Weekend

Last weekend was Andrew's 10-year class reunion. Friday night was a dinner for Adults only and then on Saturday was a picnic at a park with the families. We had a fun time at both events.

Then on Monday a group of friends got together for our friend, Dan's birthday party and we played Frisbee Golf. Keagan had a good time throwing the frisbee around. After the frisbee golf, we had a picnic lunch and enjoyed having fun together.

Here are some pictures of our weekend.

"Rolled Up"

In the past week or so, Keagan has been liking to "roll" things up (like the way we swaddle Deker). Keagan has a bunny that he is very fond of and I have watched him "roll up" his bunny. Well yesterday evening while I was feeding Deker, Keagan layed his blanket on the ground, layed on top of his blanket and asked to be "rolled up". Here is the result of us swaddling him in his blanket.

Keagan & Deker

It has been fun and interesting to see how Keagan has reacted with having a baby in the house. He likes to hold his little brother and give him kisses. One morning last week, Deker was in his bouncy seat while Keagan and I were eating breakfast. After breakfast, Keagan layed down next to him and started talking to Deker. It was quite cute. As soon as I got the camera out, he stood up. But I got some good pictures anyway.

I wanted to get a shirt for Keagan that said "Big Brother" on it, but I wasn't having any luck with finding one that I liked. So, my friend Elizabeth, helped me make one for Keagan. Here is a picture of Keagan in his shirt.

The Best Laid Plans...

Yesterday, I turned 30! Ever since my birthday last year, I have told Andrew that he better throw me a big party for my 30th birthday. He decided last year that he was going to call it a Hotta Momma Ho-Down (for those that don't know, Andrew almost always calls me Hotta Momma). Andrew spent Monday and Tuesday last week, handing out invitations and making phone calls about my party. Only to have to call everyone a few days later and cancel the party plans because our little Deker decided to come 4 weeks earlier than expected. Deker and I came home from the hospital the day the party was scheduled for and we didn't want to postpone it for the weekend after because that is the 4th of July weekend. But, there is always next year!

On the morning of my birthday, I was a little dissapointed that I didn't get to have my party, but the day turned out to be pretty good anyway. Andrew gave me a beautiful bench to put on our front porch, which is something that I have wanted to a long time. And my wonderful Mom took us all out to dinner to Olive Garden, which is one of my favorite restaurants. Andrew also bought me a small cake and so the four of us had cake that night as well.

Thank you to my wonderful husband for making such a big effort to make my birthday special. And thank you to my Mom for taking time out of her very busy schedule to come visit and help us this week. You were such a wonderful help to us!
