My Pride & Joy!

This has been an exciting week for our house. Andrew and his friend Mike spent 3 days installing the laminate floor in our entry, dinning room, kitchen and hallway. Also, the plumbers came and installed all the fixtures, the cabinet guys came and finished the cabinets, the granite was installed and electritions installed their fixtures. Here is a picture of my kitchen which I absolutely love.

Daddy's hat

A couple of days ago, Keagan discovered Andrew's hat. He put it on himself and didn't want to take it off. He found it when we were going over to our new house to see Andrew while he was installling the laminate floor. He has been "finding" it several times a day and puts it on.

Christmas

We had a fun and relaxing Christmas Day. Keagan wasn't so sure about ripping the paper off his presents, but really liked what he found underneath the paper. We also enjoyed a wonderful Christmas dinner just the three of us.

Keagan received this bucket of cars from Santa Clause and would have been happy with just that. The only thing that took him away was the bucket of blocks we gave him.
This was his other favorite present. It is a car that he received from Grandma & Grandpa Smith that makes the car noise and drives.
This is the best picture we could get of him and his presents. He just wanted to play with the cars and wouldn't pose very well. At least we know that he liked his presents.

The first snowman

We woke up Monday morning to a decent amount of snow on the ground so Keagan and Andrew went outside and made a snowman. They seemed to have a good time.

The Smith Christmas Gathering

The Smith side of the family got together in mid December to do an early Christmas celebration. My parents rented a big house in Parowan, Utah and we all gathered for a fun weekend. Keagan had fun playing with the three other girls his age and showing off his climbing skills. One night, we decided to put the 4 toddlers in the bathtub together. Here are a couple of pictures from the weekend.

Gone to see Santa

Yesterday (Thursday) we braved the mall and took Keagan to see Santa Claus. Keagan likes looking at pictures of Santa and says "nantee", but when it came down to sitting on his lap, he wasn't so sure about Santa anymore. But it was fun to take him down.

Completed Outside

The stone work has been finished on our house. They were going to pour the driveway this week, but it has been quite rainy all week.

The Before & After

Last week, Andrew was able to paint the inside of our new home. Here are some before & after pictures.

The outside is painted!

We were really lucky to have some nicer days this week and so Andrew went and painted our house. We are really happy with the way it turned out. The first day that Andrew went to paint our house, he left a paint brush out. Keagan found it, climbed up on the chair and started to "paint" the walls. He looked quite proud of himself.

Time to make the ornaments

On Saturday, we finally got around to making some ornaments for our Christmas Tree. We made them out of cinnamon and glue which made our house smell really, really good as they were baking. Keagan was quite the helper. He wanted to help roll out the dough and cut the shapes. Today before church, we put string through them, which he also wanted to help with and then put them on our tree. Here are some fun pictures of the experience.

Keagan & the Blanket

Keagan has been quite the immitator lately. A lot of the time when we are sitting on the couch, I usually have a blanket the I curl up with. Well, lately, Keagan has been wanting to do the same thing. Everytime he brings a book over to read, he always grabs a blanket as well and has to put the blanket over his lap and then he can start reading his books.
