More Pictures

Elizabeth: Thank you for doing the wonderful post announcing the arrival of Bauer.

The past week has been crazy, but good. We are all adjusting well to having a new baby in the house. Andrew went back to work today (Wednesday) and so far, so good, but then again, Keagan has been at preschool most the morning, so we will see how the rest of the day goes. I am excited that my Mom will be here tonight to help out as well.

Here are some pictures that I wanted to share. This is Andrew shortly after arriving at the hospital. He was driving truck and had just past Twin Falls when I called him at 6:30 in the morning to say I was in labor and going to the hospital. His boss sent somebody to meet him, but with the time it takes driving a semi, he wasn't able to get there until 2:00 that afternoon.
Here is Bauer with his Aunt Anna. She was the amazing woman that got me to the hospital on time. Man does she know how to drive (including going 60 - 70 mph on side streets). She also did a wonderful job stepping in for Andrew and helping me get through the delivery. And then taking care of my other two boys for the rest of the day. THANK YOU!!!
My three boys...Aren't they cute?
Because Bauer was born at 37 weeks which isn't quite considered full term, they wanted to keep him for the full 48 hours to make sure that he was doing good, so on Friday, we were able to bring him home.
My Three boys at home, Keagan and Deker love their little brother, they always ask for him, want to hold him and kiss him. Funny thing with Keagan, he wouldn't hold him while we were in the hospital. But he warmed up to him and has held several times a day since we got home.

Keagan's Birthday

I had originally intended to do this post last Wednesday, but Bauer decided that other plans were in store for that day. But I wanted to make sure I got it done.

Keagan's birthday was Wednesday, May 5, but since Andrew was scheduled to be working all day and wouldn't get home until Thursday, we decided to celebrate and pretend that Tuesday was Keagan's birthday.

Keagan has been wanted and asking for a Henry & Trevor party (a green train & green tractor from Thomas & Friends), so I made this invite and he delivered them to 10 of his friends.
We started the morning off with Andrew making Keagan a train shaped Chocolate Chip Pancake, which Keagan loved.
At the party, we had Keagan's trains and his train books down for the kids to play with. Then we played "Pin the Nose on Henry". Andrew used his wonderful artistic skills to draw a big Henry for us.
We had a little cake & Ice cream, Keagan opened his presents and played some more. Each kid got to take home a little bag that included a notebook with Henry & Trevor on it, a whistle and a little pack of Rail Road gum.

After the party and lunch, Keagan opened his presents from us, his grandparents & and Aunt Vera. I had intended to have Keagan call all of those he got presents from to say Thank You on Wednesday, but as you all know, that never happened.

Keagan-We love you and are so happy that you are in our family. You are such a wonderful big brother to Deker and now to Bauer. I love that you love to ask all kinds of questions and that you love to talk and learn about everything you can think of. You are a little shy of new things and new experiences, but once you decide (or are forced) to do it, you realize how fun it is and want to keep doing it and then talk about it for months.

Introducing . . .

Bauer Felix Picanco

This morning at 7:53 AM, Brenda arrived at the hospital an amazing mother of two. At 8: 23 AM, Andrew and Brenda became amazing parents to THREE incredibly handsome little boys.

Weight: 7 pounds 1 ounce

Height: 21 1/2 inches

Cuteness factor: 10 out of 10

Manliness factor: 11 out of 10

We all have to assume that Bauer was so excited after listening to all the fun of Keagan's Birthday Party yesterday, he decided that he would have to give his biggest brother a very special gift on his actual Birthday . . . his arrival. Yes, that is right folks, they now share their Birthdays.

Perfect little fingers

With matching perfect toes

Begging his Momma to get the crazy lady with the camera out of his face.

From the eyes of the mother . . . a vision of heaven.

A mother's kiss, nothing more loving.

And there is definitely nothing like holding something that just arrived from heaven.

We Congratulate the Picanco Family, Andrew Brenda Keagan and Deker, on the new addition of Bauer and look forward to all the fun and excitement that is just about to begin.
