The Nursery (And a Belly Picture)

This past week, we got the nursery all set up and ready for this little guy to arrive. Here are some pictures of it all done. I absolutely love how it turned out. The pictures don't quite do it justice, but what can you say from a couple of amateurs.
Now, for the picture that I don't really want to put up, but I am doing because this is the only journal I really keep...Here is a picture of my at 35 Weeks.

Other Misc. Happenings

Now that I have gotten caught up on all the big things that have been happening, here are the miscellaneous things that have been going on here.

This morning, we went to the Zoo with Keagan's preschool. The boys had a lot of fun looking at all the animals and playing with the other kids. Here is one of the very few pictures that I took.
Quite a few months ago, we moved Deker up to Keagan's room, but we kept him in the crib. Then Easter weekend, we moved Deker to a twin bed, which he loved and made him a quilt to match Keagan's. This yesterday, we finally got the finishing thing put up in their room. We put up a shelf that we could put their pig and frog banks that Andrew and I painted for them when they were babies on. Here is a picture of their room.
One morning last week, Deker all of a sudden came to me with his bear and his blanket and wanted me to wrap up his bear (which I ended up doing countless times throughout the day). When Keagan saw, he decided that he wanted his little tiger wrapped up as well. I thought Deker looked so cute carrying around his wrapped up bear.
Two of the girls in Keagan's preschool class turned 4 within a few weeks of each other and because the girls are such good friends, they decided to have a party together. Keagan was very excited about going. It was a rainbow polka dot party. It looked like so much fun. Keagan had a great time and here he is after he got home with his rainbow headband, cool straw and party favor.
A few weeks ago, while I was cleaning our bathrooms, Deker came in (Keagan joined us after I had taken this picture) and insisted on cleaning with me. I couldn't resist taking a picture of him cleaning the shower and the counter in mine and Andrew's bathroom.
Among all that we have been doing, I have also managed to finish the baby bedding for the baby's room and on Monday, Andrew finished painting the room and the dresser. We were also able to bring the crib down and get it all set up in the room. I would take a pictures of the room now, but I have been washing all the the baby clothes, blankets, etc and haven't gotten it all put away yet. I absolutely LOVE the way the nursery looks and I can't wait to start showing it off. So, stay tuned for picture of that, or if you are here in Boise, stop by anytime and I would be more than happy to show it to you.

My Baby Shower

This past Saturday (April 10), my good friends Angela and Elizabeth threw me a surprise baby shower. It was so much fun. Earlier in the week, when Andrew was out of town for work, he told me that he was was working on something for me for Saturday and was verifying that I hadn't made a hair appointment for that day. A few days later, I asked him if he was going to tell me what it was or if it was a surprise. He told me it was a surprise, so on Friday evening I had to ask if I need to get up early and get ready or if I would have time after breakfast and what I should wear. He told me that we were all going to go out for breakfast and then we would come home and it would happen around 11:00.

I had no idea what was going on, because when it was time to go, we still had the boys with us and he was blindfolding me. After driving around to make sure I got lost, we got out of the Van and he walked me into a building (turned out to be our church) and when he took my blindfold off, there were a bunch of my friends there saying surprise.

Everyone had gotten there earlier and tied the most adorable quilt that Elizabeth and her mom made me, after I got there, we had a yummy lunch, played some fun games and then opened presents. Everybody gave me such wonderful gifts and I felt so loved. Angela and Dan had stopped by our house Friday evening while we were out and got all the baby bedding that I had made and decorated the room with it.

Elizabeth took lots of pictures for me and I will post them when I get them from here.

I am so grateful to have such good friends that would go through all that trouble for me and for good friends that took time out of their day to come and support me. Thank you all very much!!

Easter

We had a very fun and relaxing Easter weekend. Especially since we were also able to watch General Conference. We started out by going to an Easter Egg hunt out in Kuna. The wind was really cold and that is why the boys don't look the happiest in the first picture. But once the egg hunt started, they had a great time.
After the Easter Egg hunt, we came home and listened to the second half of the first session. After lunch that day, we dyed our eggs. As you can see from the picture below, we all had a great time doing that. Deker really enjoyed drawing on the egg and dropping it in the cups of egg dye.
While the boys were naping, Andrew and I listened to Conference while we put a quilt for Deker and his new big boy bed on the quilting frames and then that night, after the boys were in bed, we stayed up and got it all quilted. (Pictures of the boys room coming soon).
After naps, we took down the crib that Deker was in and brought in a twin size bed for him. We absolutley loves having a bed like Keagans. We have a bed rail up and he has only fallen out from the end of his bed twice in the almost two weeks since he has had it.
That night while we were all sleeping, the Easter Bunny came. She left the boys matching church outfits (she also left one for our little boy that is soon to come). She left Andrew a tie to match the boys and a skirt for me that matched the boy's ties. Now I can't wait for our new little guy to arrive so we can take family pictures in our matching outfits. The boys also received a lawn mower & guitar to share and some other yummy treats.
Since it was General Conference, we didn't attend church on Sunday, but instead stayed home to watch it. So the next Sunday, we all wore our matching outfits to church. Since our church started at 8:20 in the morning, we didn't get a picture of all of us in our outfits and then Andrew had a meeting after church, so I was only able to get a picture of the boys, but I can promise you that I thought all three of my boys looked very Handsome in their new church clothes.

I was reading on a friends blog, that they ask the Easter Bunny to come on Saturday and they call that day the Easter Bunny Day and that way on Sunday they can concentrated on the real purpose of Easter and the resurection of our Savior. I think we might have to do that from now on because I love that idea.

Girls Weekend

I have, once again, neglected my blog, so, here is the first of many posts to come.
Girls Weekend. The last weekend of March, my sisters, sister-in-law, my mom and my oldest niece got together for a girls weekend. Here are the highlights of the events.

Destination: Elko, Nevada (why? kind of an in-between spot for most of us)
Agenda: Relaxation (Reading, talking, playing games, etc.)
Result: Lots of fun!

I got home Sunday afternoon and a little while later, our friends Dan & Angela along with Dan's parents who were visiting from out of down and their dog stopped by and we all went for a nice walk. Deker and Keagan LOVED the dog and LOVED walking the dog.
