Deker turned 5 on Wednesday. With his Birthday being in the middle of the week, it was hard to do very much, but we improvised and he had a wonderful day. Deker woke up Tuesday morning to yellow and blue balloons and a tractor happy birthday banner hung up which he loved.
I then made his number pancake which has become a tradition for our kids and which he asked for.
My cousin, Marianne brought her kids over for lunch and playing in the sprinklers in the back yard. After they left, Deker told me that he loved is family party.
That night, we grilled hotdogs and a local splash part and my cousin Marianne & Tyler and their kids and our good friends Brandon and BarriJo joined us at. The kids all had a great time playing in the water and on the playground and I had a great time visiting with the adults. I am so happy that Deker loved is Birthday.
Here is the the cake. He chose to have a Trackhoe on his cake and Andrew, as always, made it look wonderful.
Here is Deker in all his wet glory coming over for some cake before going back to playing in the water. As you can see, Deker is now at the age where you can't get a decent smile out of him, instead we get this crazy fake smile.

The Very Girly Nursery
As most of you know, I was thrilled to find out that after having three boys I would finally get my little girl. I picked out material and started sewing immediately. I was so excited to see it all come together, that I got the nursery all completed pretty early. I love going in there and looking and it and looking forward to the girl that will be entering our family sometime in July. For those that don't like pink, you might not want to look. It is kind of a pink explosion, but I don't really care I love how it turned out.
The butterfly mobile that is hung from the ceiling was given to me by a friend who knew that we used butterflies on the quilt and curtains.
I LOVE how it turned out. Now we are just waiting for our little girl to join our family.
Recent Happenings
We have had a lot of fun things going on it our lives, here are just a few of the highlights.
The first weekend of June was Keagan's last day of school. I am so proud of him and all the he learned in 1st grade. He loved his teacher and loved school so much and he was a little sad for school to be out for summer.
I might be a bad mom, but I finally let the kids get out their watercolor paints and paint for the first time. Keagan had done some painting at schoool, but I was always afraid of the mess. They LOVED it though and are can't wait to do it again.
We passed Keagan's first bike onto Bauer this Spring when Keagan was given a new to us one from some friends down the street. He didn't want to get on it for a while, but finally gave in and he loves it. We even went on a walk on Sunday and he rode his bike the whole way.
On Sunday, Andrew decided we need a pregnancy picture of me. Here I am 2 days before I turned 35 weeks.

Deker Soccer
Deker started soccer in the middle of Keagan's Baseball season with a league that is very low-key. They just play on Saturday for an hour. Deker LOVES it though. There was three Saturday's that they overlapped and it sure was fun trying to juggle both with Andrew working on Saturdays. But we made it work.
Keagan playing Baseball
Keagan started Baseball at the beginning of April. Baseball season means many evening at baseball practice and games. This year Keagan played on what they call Prep Minor which is machine pitch. He loved doing it and it was great to see him improve each game.
After their last game, the coach gave each boy a baseball with the name of the team, year and the kids name on it. Then, he had each boy go around and have their team mates sign their ball. I thought that was a great idea and memento to have for the season.

Keagan and Bauer's Birthday
Having Keagan and Bauer's birthday on the same day is fun but challenging at the same time. This year we kept it very low key. Their birthday this year was on a Sunday, so Saturday evening we all went to dinner and then to PoJo's to play all the fun arcade type games. The boys had a lot of fun playing and running from game to game.
On Sunday morning, we had our traditional number pancakes. When Andrew and I were talking about what to have for breakfast, we weren't going to make pancakes but then I remembered our tradition and it was a good thing I did, because Keagan came down soon after and asked if we were making him a "7" pancake.

The boys cakes. When talking with the boys earlier in the week about what they wanted on their cake, Bauer was adamant about having a riding lawn mower. I asked almost everyday. Do you want a truck on your cake "no riding lawn mower" the same with with lots of different questions from me and the same answer from Bauer.
That night we had a couple of friends over for cake and ice cream and opening presents.
Time to sing. Andrew and I decided to sing to each boy individually. Bauer's turn first.
Uh oh, everyone is looking at me, better hide.
Now for Keagan's turn.
We had lots of fun celebrating their birthdays.

Baby Shower
Two of my really good friends came together and threw me and our little girl and wonderful baby shower. They did a wonderful job and I had a great time talking, playing those fun baby shower games. Baby girl and I were "showered" with many wonderful gifts and I felt so loved. Here are just two pictures of the fun evening.
