Keagan's Birthday

I had originally intended to do this post last Wednesday, but Bauer decided that other plans were in store for that day. But I wanted to make sure I got it done.

Keagan's birthday was Wednesday, May 5, but since Andrew was scheduled to be working all day and wouldn't get home until Thursday, we decided to celebrate and pretend that Tuesday was Keagan's birthday.

Keagan has been wanted and asking for a Henry & Trevor party (a green train & green tractor from Thomas & Friends), so I made this invite and he delivered them to 10 of his friends.
We started the morning off with Andrew making Keagan a train shaped Chocolate Chip Pancake, which Keagan loved.
At the party, we had Keagan's trains and his train books down for the kids to play with. Then we played "Pin the Nose on Henry". Andrew used his wonderful artistic skills to draw a big Henry for us.
We had a little cake & Ice cream, Keagan opened his presents and played some more. Each kid got to take home a little bag that included a notebook with Henry & Trevor on it, a whistle and a little pack of Rail Road gum.

After the party and lunch, Keagan opened his presents from us, his grandparents & and Aunt Vera. I had intended to have Keagan call all of those he got presents from to say Thank You on Wednesday, but as you all know, that never happened.

Keagan-We love you and are so happy that you are in our family. You are such a wonderful big brother to Deker and now to Bauer. I love that you love to ask all kinds of questions and that you love to talk and learn about everything you can think of. You are a little shy of new things and new experiences, but once you decide (or are forced) to do it, you realize how fun it is and want to keep doing it and then talk about it for months.

We love you, Keagan! We wish we could have been at your party. It looks like it was lots of fun. You have truly amazing and talented parents--no wonder you aren't impressed with our sad attempts at art!
