Today is a very exciting day for us because we officially became Landlords. We have finally been able to rent out our house! When we moved out of our old house we decided to keep it up for sale, but also advertise to rent it. We had several people look at buying it or lease to own it, but nothing ever came of those. The only people that called to rent our house wanted to have pets inside, but we didn't want that.
Well, finally last week some people called that were interested in renting our house and didn't have inside pets. They went and looked at it and then called and wanted to see inside. On Saturday, we showed them our house and they decided they wanted to rent it. So today we met with them and signed the rental agreement for a year. We are very excited that we don't have to worry about that house payment for a year.

Keagan's New Hat
This winter, Keagan decided that he liked hats. For a while, everytime we put his jacket or coat on, he would insist on putting the hood up as well. He has started to grow out of that a little bit, but once in a while he still wants his hood up and I have to try to convince him that he doesn't need it. For the past week or so, I have been saying that I want to get out Keagan's baseball hat from last summer and try it on Keagan to see if it still fits.
Well, last Friday Keagan discovered a new "hat" that he really had fun playing with. He looked pretty cute in it, so I took some pictures to show Andrew when he got home from work. Well, when Andrew got home from work that evening, I told Keagan to go get his hat. Keagan ran into the kitchen and Andrew asked me if I got his baseball cap out. I told him to just wait. Keagan came running back in with an empty Cherrios box that we had finished off the day before, but hadn't thrown away yet, on his head. It was fun to see Andrew's reaction as he had a really good laugh when he discovered that Keagan's new hat was a Cherrios box.
How did this come about you ask.....Well, let's just say Keagan has quite the imagination. There was an empty cereal box and an empty tissue box that needed to go outside in the garbage. When I started carrying them out of the kitchen, Keagan came up and wanted to carry the cereal box. As I am walking out to the garage, I hear Keagan saying "hat", I looked back and he had the cereal box on his head. So, of course, I just had to take a picture of Keagan looking very pleased vwith his new hat.

My Sidewalk Chalk
Keagan received some sidewalk chalk in his Easter basket last Sunday. The beginning of the week was pretty rainy, so he wasn't able to really play with it until Thursday. Andrew got home from work just after we got the chalk out and we all had a really good time drawing on our big driveway.

Easter Egg Hunt
Today we attempted to take Keagan to an Easter Egg Hunt in Kuna. We thought that it started at 10:30, but when we got there at 10:20, it had already started and was pretty much over. We were pretty disappointed. So after Keagan's nap, we went took some M&M filled eggs and eggs that he dyed to the park by our house and took Keagan on a little Easter Egg hunt. At first, he didn't really seem to understand what he was supposed to do, but once he realized what was going on, he really got into it and seemed to have fun.
Of course, towards the end, Keagan had to stop, crack a plastic egg open and have a chocolate break.
Easter Egg Time
We decided to dye some eggs today for Easter. I wasn't sure if Keagan would have very much fun or not, but once we got the white crayon out, he had A LOT of fun and didn't let us dye any eggs. It's a good thing that egg dying is all about the kids. In fact, he had so much fun, we almost wish we would have done a few more eggs. Here are some pictures of the event.
Here are some of Keagan's masterpieces.
Andrew took a little video of him drawing on and dying an egg. Here is the video for those who would like to see it.
